This spring I collaborated with Mrs. Pearce on a biography project with some students in her reading class. These students worked together to brainstorm some facts they might want to learn about their subjects. We used a terrific program called "Inspiration" to create our idea web. This is what it looked like:
The students then spent several weeks learning to take notes from multiple sources before writing a "script" from the point of view of the person they studied. Now, at last, the children are ready to present their final projects. We used a fun web site called Blabberize.
